Supermodel Ashley Graham has teamed up with Mattel to release her very own body-positive Barbie doll.
Unveiling the Barbie at Glamour's Women of the Year summit earlier this week, Graham told The Hollywood Reporter that she made sure the doll was made to her body-positive specifications, saying she "had to have her thighs touch. No ands, ifs or buts about it."
"And I asked for cellulite but obviously plastic and cellulite don't go hand in hand," she added. "It was important that the Barbie resembled me as much as possible. The thighs touching was one way to show young girls that it's OK for your thighs to touch, despite society saying that a 'thigh gap' is more beautiful."
This follows recent efforts by Mattel to make their Barbie brand more diverse and inclusive, including Ava DuVernay and Zendaya-inspired models, as well as a new line of "Fashionista" dolls that comes in tall, curvy and petite variations, as well as 7 different skin tones, 24 hairstyles, 22 eye colors and flat feet. Check out Graham's doll below.
