Opening Ceremony won the medal for best uniforms (the red and yellow stripes). They also had the best dressed fans.
Probably the only soccer tournament where the players sit around reading fashion magazines between games
Adidas Fanatic is an annual tradition in which co-ed teams repping stylish indie entities such as Opening Ceremony, Kinfolk, The Last Magazine, and Acne Studios (PAPER even had a team, back in the day!) compete in a soccer tournament. It's as much a fashion event as it is a sports event, due to the absurdly cool crowd, which is heavy on models (Jacquelyn Jablonski and Binx Walton play on the Acne team), stylists, recently graduated art-school types and super hot cis athletic guys. All of this goes down against a backdrop of equally cool jams (thanks to DJs like Wrecked, Stretch Armstrong, and Mazurbate), and a world-class view of the NYC skyline and harbor, which obviously makes it great fodder for photo-taking.
