About Last Night... The Big Burton Bash!

Gary Pini gives us his report from last night...

On the way to Webster Hall to see Tussle we spotted some fantastic life-size stainless steel trees in Madison Square Park that are the work of artist Roxy Paine. Check them out while you wait in line at the Shake Shack -- they will be up until the end of the year. After the show we went to a great party sponsored by Burton Snowboards in their showroom on lower Broadway. It reminded us of other downtown loft parties -- particularly those at Dana Giacchetto's place -- that seem to be happening less often in recent years. In between free drinks, mini burgers and the musical stylings of DJ Steve Aoki (pictured) we met some kids from Burton's office in Cali that flew in for the event and asked (seriously) if we were snowboarders. I told them no, but I did go water skiing in the 50's. We also spotted some samples of Burton's cool new line of Andy Warhol outerwear and ended the night at Max Fish.
