Say goodbye to your dreams of Pussy Power tampons, because we could've, should've, would've had Charli XCX-brand sanitary products, if it wasn't for those pesky "health regulations."

Charli told MTV News that she wanted to use her upcoming summer tour to emphasize Sucker's punk vibe and Riot Grrl influence, but unfortunately her plans to tie in her merch with that IDGAF/embrace your womanhood ethos didn't exactly pan out.

"I really wanted to make tampon merch," she told them. "That was a dream of mine for a really long time -- to have tampons that say 'Sucker' on the side and 'Pussy Power' on the box. But it's a health issue if someone's going to put it in their vagina."

But then again, one has to wonder why Kiss and U2-branded condoms, Tenacious D cum rags, Ghost B.C.'s sex toys and Rammstein-modeled dildos (eughh...I mean look at these dudes) and other sexytime encouragements were okay at the same time. Things that obviously also find their ways into vaginas in a much different, more explicit context.
Perhaps it's a matter of her audience demographics, but then again what's wrong with promoting menstruation-acceptance to her audience of young ladies on the cusp on womanhood? Fuck that, quite literally.
