Tyler, The Creator Releases His (and Our) Dream Donut-Covered Vans

"BY 17 EVERY SHOE I HAD WAS COVERED IN DONUTS"

by Annie Felix

Unhealthily pink frosted cartoon donuts (sprinkled to boot) float in the most aesthetic teal matrix atop Tyler, the Creator's latest Vans collab. Preppy golfer meets SoCal skater chic – that's how Tyler, the Creator rolls.

The new shoes (which were released on Saturday, and all but sold out) are actually a collaboration between Vans and Odd Future (short for Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All), Tyler's hip-hop collective repping quintessential SoCal skater culture – a reworking of Vans' classic Sk8-Hi and Authentic styles (a.k.a hightops and lowtops).

But when all is said and done, they're a completely Tyler, the Creator creation – apparently something he's dreamed up when he was 16; he wrote about it in the Instagram he posted, showing off the kicks.

Tyler, the Creator: making the world his own personal teal donut dreamland, one pair of sneakers at a time.
