The Apollo Project at the World Financial Center
To kick off the 2012 New York Guitar Festival, a crew of luminaries (including Mike Gordon (Phish), Jeff Parker (Tortoise), Larry Campbell, itsnotyouitsme, David Torn and others) will gather to "re-imagine" Brian Eno's 1983 ambient masterpiece, "Apollo Atmospheres and Soundtracks" on its 30th anniversary. The performance will be accompanied by scenes from Craig Teper's documentary, Man In The Right Seat, about Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell.
