The Rolling Stones' "Let's Spend The Night Together" Is Our Music Video of the Day

Gary Pini

After we posted these rare shots of the Rolling Stones from the '60s earlier this week and you all freaked out, our choice for today's oldie-but-goodie music video got a little bit easier, thank you. Here we find the lads in 1967 performing one of our all-time favorite songs, "Let's Spend the Night Together," on a British TV show. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stones, so there's tons of stuff happening in their honor including the re-issue of a seldom seen film called Charlie Is My Darling, shot on a tour of Ireland in 1965. It was directed by Peter Whitehead and commissioned by their former manager Andrew Loog Oldham. On Thursday, October 11, there's a screening for the New York Film Festival and it's being released on DVD on November 6. Also, tonight, October 5, 7 p.m., at the 92nd Street Y, there's another screening plus Steve Van Zandt will interview Oldham.
