Guillaume Henry, the current creative director of Carven, told The Cut that there's not much of a community of fashion designers in Paris, saying: "There are a lot of houses. But I'm not sure there is a fashion community here in Paris. We do respect each other, but I don't spend time with designers...I would lie if I said that it isn't a kind of competition, because obviously everybody is looking at everyone. We are working in an industry, and it's not only images -- it's a question of commercial result, so we're all looking at each other," although "not with pain or anger."
