Note to selves: Throw more parties with conga lines, daiquiris and Carmen Miranda-esque dancers shimmying around. Last night, we threw a little Art Basel Miami bash with the fine folks of United Colors of Benetton, to celebrate the recent Miami-inspired redesign of of their South Beach store. Designers from Fabrica, Benetton's creative incubator and research group, have decked the store out with tropical touches like hand-painted palm leafs, sherbert colors (to reflect the iconic pastel Art Deco buildings of South Beach) and a floor designed to look like a boardwalk. Guests including artists Richard Phillips, our very own David Hershkovits and Benetton CEO Ari Hoffman drank Blackwell rum dacquiris, took in the futuristic designs of the Fabrica "Tutti Fruitt" glass sculptures/fruit holders on display and Paper's May Kwok and Mark Holcomb provided the conga-line beats. Below, check out our photos from the evening.
