Tuesday night, Paper and Shinola hosted "New York, a Filmmaker's Muse: Building Stories In and About NYC," a panel discussion with some of our favorite female filmmakers in the city, including Sophia Takal and Rainer Judd and moderated by Cheryl Dunn. There were clips screened from Everybody Street (Dunn), Marfa Voices (Judd) and Green (Takal). The three talked about the New York City of their youths and how much the city has changed, as well as the sense of community they felt with local filmmakers and the obstacles they've faced as female artists.
