Indie music has a new heartthrob, and his name is Jacco Gardner. He comes to us from the Netherlands via the 1960s, haircut included. Saturday night he played his first show in New York, on his first trip to the US. His debut LP, Cabinet of Curiosities was released only two weeks ago. He bills himself as a "baroque pop multi-instrumentalist" who "creates a unique sound by combining the sounds of harpsichord, strings, flutes and other classical instruments with raw psychedelic effects." At Death By Audio, he drew a packed house, and, with his band, played an hour-long set of his shimmering, ornate arrangements. Check out photos, below.
