In a new interview for Italian newspaper, La Repubblica, Miuccia Prada offers some pessimistic opinions about the state of the fashion industry in her native Italy.  To wit, she says that the world sees Italy and its fashion sphere as having "less resources, culture, protagonists, ideas, vitality and money" than elsewhere, especially Paris. The New York Times came out with a profile of Rookie editress (and former pre-teen fashion blogger) Tavi Gevinson and asked interviewed her English teacher about how the teen keeps up with her schoolwork.  "She struggled a little bit early on," the teacher, Jay Lind, said.  "She couldn't keep coming in saying, 'I'm a fashion blogger, do you mind if I turn this in two weeks late?'"
