Burberry's chief creative officer Christopher Bailey keeps putting the rad in plaid, this time with the launch of the new scent Burberry Body in LA Thursday night. On his arm was London actress and model (and the face of the new campaign, which features her in nothing but an open trench) Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. After a huge promotional give-away on Burberry's Facebook page (resulting in them becoming the luxury brand with the most FB friends), the fragrance became an instant success. Rachel Zoe, Kate Bosworth, Lily Aldridge, Serena Williams and Felicity Jones all came out to show their support, and, below, we talk Burberry with miss Huntington-Whiteley and the launch-party's DJ, Solange Knowles.


When you hear the word Burberry what comes to mind?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: I think British and iconic then I think 'home.'  I've been with them for four years going on five, it's like being surrounded with friends and family.

Random follow-up question -- other than Transformers what toys did you play with when you were little?

RHW: Growing up on a farm, we didn't have toys. I'm just joking, I loved my Barbies!

Solange, you were enlisted to DJ for the night. Are you going to playing lots of British jams?

SK: I did pull out my British Rolodex which includes Mark Ronson and Katy B, who sorta sounds a lil' grimey dubstep-ish, but she's still British."
