As we mentioned in yesterday's Style Scraps, the boys of Proenza Schouler have decided to bring their latest collection to life in a short Harmony Korine-directed film that will premiere next month on proenzaschouler.com. Shot in Nashville, Tennessee, Act Da Fool will feature looks from the label's Fall/Winter 2010 collection, styled by Mel Ottenberg. Korine told Nowness that the film focuses on angst-y teenage girls who "sleep in abandoned cars and set things on fire. It's about the great things in life. The stars in the sky and lots of malt liquor." This type of rebellion perfectly reflects the designers' inspiration for the fall line, which reinvented the idea of a classic prep-school uniform. The just-released movie poster is pictured above, and check back to the brand's site in September for Act Da Fool's debut.
