Paz for Mexico: Sara Beltran Teams Up With Project Paz on Charity Jewelry Collection

Peter Davis

Jewelry designer Sara Beltran of Dezso  -- which means "desire" in Hungarian --  has made a series of her famous colorful bracelets (which often usually feature a sharp shark's tooth -- a "fish" that Beltran says she is "terrified" of) for the non-profit Project Paz. The Project Paz Mexican Bracelet comes in multiple colors, adorned with Project Paz's signature silver-bird-shaped heart. She's also designed a tassel necklace, available in two colors -- blue/black and nude/florescent pink. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Project Paz, an organization promoting peace -- or "paz" -- in Ciudad Juarez in Mexico, an area that has been ravaged by drug trade violence.
