Stella McCartney Hosts a Carnival In Honor of Her S/S '13 Collection

Last night, a bevy of fashion editors, models and celebrities gathered at the East Village's Marble Cemetery for a very special Spring/Summer 2013 presentation by Stella McCartney. While a cemetery might seem pretty morbid for a fashion party, the atmosphere couldn't have been cheerier thanks to Ms. McCartney's idea of transforming the space into a carnival. While models like Lindsey Wixson and Ruby Aldridge roamed the grounds, sporting the latest designs, guests like Anne Hathaway and fiancé Adam Shulman, Jim Carrey (JIM CARREY?), Lauren Hutton, Amy Poehler, Solange Knowles, P'Trique, Greta Gerwig and André Leon Talley treated themselves to Belvedere-spiked Arnold Palmers, candy apples, gourmet mac 'n cheese and Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches, among many other "haute-carnival" treats. Guests must have been encouraged to bring their children because the fun and games -- like ring toss, Hi Striker, and more -- were not only enjoyed by stiletto-stomping fashion types but also by a squadron of kids, some of whom were even selling lemonade. As the night wound down, Wixson and her fellow models could be seen swaying to the sounds of the Soul Rebels Brass Band as attendees helped themselves to one last iced cream sandwich before heading home.
