Nothing Says Old-School Luxury Like the Dior Couture Show in Paris

This season we went behind the scenes to capture the delicate work that goes into creating a spectacle synonymous with the lavish, handcrafted fashion of creative director Raf Simons and his team.

Christian Dior set up his couture atelier in 1946 at 30, Avenue Montaigne in Paris where Dior is still designed today.

Dior's legendary beauty team: hairstylist Guido Palau and makeup artist Pat McGrath created the show's slicked-back hair looks and jeweled lip tones.

For his third Dior show, Raf Simons (bottom left) asked photographers Patrick Demarchelier, Terry Richardson, Paolo Roversi and Willy Vanderperre to photograph the models in the collection on the morning of the show and the images were then projected on a large screen during the show that took place at the Hotel Des Invalides on July 1, 2013 in Paris. The beautiful domed historical military complex includes Napoleon's tomb.
