These three guys and one gal are lighting up New York's after-dark scene.

Carlos Santolalla is making Friday nights fun again by transforming the basement of the kitschy East Village drag club Lucky Cheng's into a den of '90s pop. Santolalla, who models to pay the bills, didn't know anyone when he moved to New York with $100 in his pocket just eight months ago. Discovered at a party, he was still drunk the next day in an agent's office when he was offered a two-year modeling contract with APM. The 21-year-old tries not "to be a pretentious d-bag" by playing "fun, entertaining music that people want to get drunk to."

Chelsea Leyland, the stunning Londoner who moved to New York four years ago at the age of 19 to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute, quickly found herself as one of the city's most sought after DJs. In the beginning, she was just recommending friends for gigs, when it occurred to her that she could be DJing too. Leyland learned "the real way" -- using vinyl -- and now she's booked up to five nights a week, spinning everything from '50s hits to punk rock at parties for Vito Schnabel and Valentino. Leyland now has a residency at Kenmare on Wednesdays.

"The gay week starts on Wednesday," Tom Jackson of the website Gayletter declares. Along
with his partner Abi Benitez, the two have been recommending events for the city's gay community to do Wednesday through Sunday (you need two nights to rest) in their online weekly newsletter since July 2009. With helpful advice like where to go "if you have any interest in getting laid, dancing until your feet get sore, or hanging out in steamy, sweaty lofts somewhere in the East Village," the guys know their demographic and select only things that evoke "that little click of excitement" -- things they would want to go to themselves. That includes whatever the Spank boys, BUTT magazine or Ladyfag are involved in, or something as simple as bike riding in your underwear.
