3. Mario Batali says he's planning to open more Eatalys in North America and South America in 2013 and 2014. Wisely, it doesn't appear like he's planning to open an Eataly in Italy. [via Eater]

4. Oh no. NBC has apparently purchased a pilot called Untitled Hipster Project about an anthropology student studying "Brooklynites." (But, if there's any possible silver lining to this likely prime time cloud, it's supposedly being produced by Jimmy Fallon.) [via Vulture/Gothamist]

5. Smorgasburg -- which recently expanded to DUMBO -- will be hosting a dumpling eating contest on 9/15 at their Williamsburg site and both the male and female first place winner will receive $1000! [via Facebook]

"This sounds cool" alert!  Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe have turned NYC's Marlborough Gallery (Chelsea location) into "a parallel universe" as part of their Stray Light Grey exhibit featuring "an art storage space, a public lavatory, then a private one, as if in somebody's home, where you step into the baththub, then, Alice-fashion, you pop through a hole in the wall."  The show opens on 9/13 -- sounds fun.
