Five days out from arguably the most important election in recent memory, Melania Trump is way too close to writing "First Lady" down on her resume with the rose gold quill she probably uses. The third wife of the Republican Nominee for President made her first solo speech--since...that speech--in one of the election battlegrounds, at a rally in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. In a blanched streak of irony, Melania vowed to fight cyberbullying as First Lady.
Mrs. Trump promised to be an "advocate for women and children," and addressed how callous society has become from social media:
Our culture has gotten too mean & too rough, especially to children & teenagers. It is never OK when a 12-year-old girl or boy is mocked, bullied, or attacked; it is terrible when that happens on the playground. And it's absolutely unacceptable when it's done by someone with no name, hiding on the internet. We have to find a better way to talk with each other, to disagree with each other, to respect each other.
