Tierra Whack, Slayyyter, and Tayla Parx are set to feature heavily on your pump up playlists. Writers Sally Mao and Morgan Parker are headed to bookstore shelves, and artists like Damon Davis and Jessi Jumanji will headline gallery shows. We've figured out exactly whose profiles you're about to follow: Layla F. Saad, Allen Salway, Hunter Harris. Plus the people you'll be getting fashion, makeup, and self-love inspiration from: Isaac West, La'shaunae, Crystal Methnay. It's going to be a good year! Who are you?
A Girl Has No Name.....and yet, I am formally known as Kelsey Lu but I prefer to be addressed as Lu in everyday life. The rest of who I am will have to wait for my cover story and/or memoir.
What are you most proud of from 2018?
Living to see another year.
What do you think will be your biggest challenge in 2019?
Overcoming the fear of disappointment and fucking my crush.
What do you think will be your biggest opportunity in 2019?
Life is one big opportunity isn't it? So everyday is an opportunity to be better than you were the day before, some are just larger than others. What I'm looking forward to is releasing my album so that I can open that portal of opportunity even wider than it was beforehand.
Where can we follow you?
As chosen by Justin Moran, Claire Valentine, Michael Love Michael, Kat Gillespie, and Jael Goldfine
