John Malkovich Takes On Iconic Photographs in New Art Exhibition

We have a pretty good idea of what it's like Being John Malkovich. Now, thanks to photographer Sandro Miller, we know exactly what it would look like if the beloved actor embodied Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon, and Jean Paul Gaultier.

For his new exhibition, Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich, Miller enlisted the many faces of John Malkovich to help him recreate the iconic portraits that shaped the photographer's career. “John is the most brilliant, prolific person I know," Miller explains in an exhibition statement. "His genius is unparalleled. I can suggest a mood or an idea and within moments, he literally morphs into the character right in front of my eyes." Seeing Malkovich seamlessly inhabit the work of Annie Leibovitz and Richard Avedon, we'd have to agree.

Malkovich Malkovich Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters opens November 7 at Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago but you can preview our favorite Malkovich impersonations, below.
