Having acted as an unofficial opening bell for New York Fashion Weeks past, art dealer and curator Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld threw yet another awesome fête last evening, this time in honor of Ouattara Watts' solo exhibition, Vertigo. The packed party, held in a large West Village space, wasn't short on its share of fashion stars -- folks like Diane Von Furstenberg, Salman Rushdie and and GQ's Glenn O'Brien talked and posed for pics, Nicky Hilton chatted with friends, and Vlad's extremely fabulous mother (and diety of all things chic) Carine greeted guests with pregnant-in-heels daughter Juila (also unfairly gorgeous) in toe.

Never one to be thrown off by Fashion Week hoopla, photo agent/Chanel ambassador Jen Brill admitted that she didn't even realize the season was on its way until a few days ago. "Last week, my girlfriend was talking about a show, and I was like 'Fashion Week?' Is that coming up? I'm so out of the loop, I had no idea," the ever-disarming Brill quipped. "I mainly just go to the shows of my friends and wear my friends. It's hard on me to do the whole thing."

Also at the swanky soirée -- emoting a downtown cool in a sleek leather jacket no less -- was Australian model Jessica Hart. What's the most un-Fashion Week task she has planned for this week? "Probably my French class," Hart (who has a pretty awesome tumblr) told us. And what's her go-to french phrase at the moment? "Je ne sais pas."
