Isabella Blow's Eccentric Style for Sale

Peter Davis
Amazing, historic fashion from the personal collection of Isabella Blow, the former Tatler fashion editor who sadly killed herself by drinking weed killer in May 2007, is being auctioned off at Christie's in London on September 15th. The auction, organized by Blow's two sisters to pay off the eccentric style muse's debts, includes 50 hats by her friend, the milliner Philip Treacy, shoes by Manolo Blahnik and 90 pieces by her great friend, the late Alexander McQueen. Blow is credited with discovering McQueen in 1994 when she saw his graduating show at Central Saint Martin's and bought the entire thesis collection.
