"Interwoven" Heads to D.C.'s Textile Museum

Elizabeth Thompson

Upcoming exhibition "Interwoven: Evenings in Performance at the Textile Museum" in Washington D.C. sounds pretty avant garde and, therefore, very un-D.C. Forgive us our stereotypical New York snobbery -- perhaps we're just jealous that the show, featuring textile performance art pieces by artists and designers like threeASFOUR, Shoplifter and Assume Astro Vivid Focus, isn't happening in New York. The two-night show will feature threeASFOUR screening a video they did with Yoko Ono as well as Shoplifter's hair harp collaboration with Nico Muhly. The show, which July 23rd through the 24th, also includes pieces from Olek, Peggy Noland (pictured above), Henrik Vibskov, Andreas Emenius and Sabrina Gschwandtner. Makes you want to book a train ticket, right?  More info here.
