A little fashion stimulation goes a long way. Some trends reappear in different shows each season, and with spring we always expect a little color, perhaps an energetic bold pattern or two and tons of nautical whites. For 2009, menswear designers took a leap down the rabbit hole seemingly getting their creative color palettes from a glorious acid trip in Alice’s Wonderland. Inspired bursts of color graced the runway in what would become the season of the bold pantone palettes and the hottest trend of this year’s warmer months. Like anything else in fashion, adapting a trend to one’s closet is entirely a personal matter. Including a bold color can be as minor as a small accessory (think pocket squares and ties) or as electrifying as a Cerulean suit. Italo Zucchelli had the fashion savvies gasping for air in a mixture of shock and ecstasy when he sent down a series of head-to-toe neon suits down the catwalk.

For a little charge of energy this spring, try the flash and flare of color. Inspiration is the first step and as your diligent fashion stalker I put together a little fashion version of the boldest and the most beautiful color schemes of SS 09.
