The closing night of the L.A. PAPER Project was, as per usual, a total madhouse. The magazine threw an all-evening sit-down dinner party for 125 people, catered by one of L.A.'s premiere American cuisine creators, Fat Burger ("The Last Great Hamburger Stand"). Fat Burger makes a tasty burger, and their idea of vegetarian food that evening -- all the burger fixings, hold the meat -- was funny, true. (Well, one of their slogans is "Converting vegetarians since 1952.") Called "The Last Supper" by PAPER boss Kim Hastreiter, the dinner, lit by light-poet Ingo Maurer, satisfied many of our new L.A. friends and many PAPER acolytes -- among them Bryce Dallas Howard, Spike Jonze, Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O'Connell, Bijou Philips, China Chow, Danny Masterson and Tiffany Limos. Grammy Award-nominated Scottish songstress Angela McCluskey (who has one of the most gorgeous voices on earth) sang, and her Citizens Band-mate (and former PAPER cover subject) Sarah Sophie Flicker played host. Yes, dinner was wonderful, but the company was divine. We can't wait to see everyone again next year!
