Dahlings.... As I was driving past Max Factor in the City of Angels, I wondered which Hollywood glamour puss the Highbrow could chat with next. As I approached Beverly Hills on my way to the Polo Lounge for cocktails with my friends Jean and Reggie, it came to me. Zsa Zsa Gabor, of course! The last of the legendary Gabor sisters -- Eva, Magda and the fabulous mama Gabor, Jolie. My good friend Reggie happens to be friendly with Miss Gabor, and with a quick phone call, za interview was set.

The infamous Zsa Zsa married nine times: First was Burham Belge Conrad Hilton (with whom she had a daughter, Francesca), then George Sanders (Addison de Witt in All About Eve). A fabulous actor, Sanders was quite fond of Gabors -- he married sister Magda some years after his split from Zsa Zsa. Following him came Herbert Hunter, then Joshua Cosden Jr., Jack Ryan, Michael O'Hara, Felipe de Alba and her final prince, Prince Frederick von Anhalt.

As the Polo Lounge waiter brought a phone to my booth, my thoughts were of Zsa Zsa in Moulin Rouge and, of course, Queen of Outer Space. The inimitable voice of Miss Gabor greeted me:

Zsa Zsa Gabor: Patrick, it's so nice to hear from you.

Patrick McDonald: Thank you, Miss Gabor. I wouldn't dream of boring you with the same old interview questions. Instead, I thought we could play a little game. Are you game?

ZG: Certainly, darling.

PM: I'll say a word, and you just say the first thing that comes to mind. I know you're busy, so I'll make it short and sweet.

ZG: Thank you, darling.

PM: Champagne.

ZG: Bubbles and good times.

PM: Diamonds.

ZG: Beautiful, exciting. And achievement.

PM: Love?

ZG: Fulfillment and happiness.

PM: Glamour!

ZG: Elegance and beauty.

PM: Hollywood.

ZG: Excitement, achievement. And disappointment.

PM: Make-up.

ZG: Important after the age of 16! Beautiful if applied correctly.

PM: Men...

ZG: Important!

PM: Future.

ZG Good hopefully. One never knows.

PM: Well, with all the glamour and good times you've given to all of us through the years, we know your future will be fabulous. Thank you Miss Gabor. ZAT'S ALL FOLKS!
