When PAPER asked Nick the Gardener, Ellen's perennially shirtless BFF, and Gigi Gorgeous, Queen of YouTube and inspiration to millions, to pay tribute to the lost art of the romance novel cover, we knew it'd be a love story for the ages. In the spirit of our Fandemonium issue, dedicated to all things internet, we asked them a few web-specific questions below.

Gigi Gorgeous

As gorgeous as she is generous, this year has seen model, activist and actress Gigi Lazzarato give as much of herself as possible. She's allied with Miley Cyrus' Happy Hippie Foundation on the #InstaPride campaign, which celebrates the lives of transgender people, and even appeared with Cyrus at this year's Video Music Awards on MTV. She also attended this year's Human Rights Campaign and hobnobbed with Hillary Clinton, all while still finding time to post thoughtful and fun videos to her massively popular YouTube page, which she once used to document her transition and which she still uses to spread her message of acceptance, equality and fabulousness.

PAPER
What is the craziest thing you've done all year?

Gigi:
I got to live one of my childhood dreams: to be on stage at the VMAs. Working with Miley was amazing; she invited me and others who participated in the #InstaPride campaign onstage and it was something I will never forget.

PAPER
What is something no one knows about you?

Gigi:
I'm a grandmother! My daughter, a beautiful Yorkshire terrier, Bella Princess, just had three puppies.

PAPER
What is the most amazing thing about being you?

Gigi:
All of the amazing love, support and friend- ships I have with my online community. I feel constant love and support — even at midnight on a random night I can go online read comments from people and instantly be in a good mood.

PAPER
What is the weirdest thing you've ever bought online?

Gigi:
A hot-pink, four-foot lava lamp.

PAPER
What do you want for Christmas?

Gigi:
I want little cute matching jumpers for my three grandchildren puppies — little angles or mistletoe. Oh, and diamonds for me, since they are a girl's best friend.

Nick the Gardener

It is, of course, ultimately immaterial that Nick the Gardener is neither a gardener or a guy named Nick. Billy Reilich is a former assistant basketball coach who has appeared in some wildly popular sketches on The Ellen DeGeneres Show; Nick the Gardener is the platonic ideal of slightly naughty fun, here to bring a harmless dose of sex appeal to day- time viewers and his many online followers. With Ellen's help, Reilich was able to parlay his ab-centric sketches into a role in Magic Mike XXL. If things keep going well for him, it's only a matter of time before he gets his own Wikipedia entry.

PAPER
What is the most stressful thing about being Nick the Gardener?

Nick:
The uncertainty of my new life. When I lived in Ohio, everything was very scheduled and nothing wild and crazy really happened. Now that I'm living in L.A., I honestly never know what will happen. It makes lazy days so wasteful. So every day I try to do something out of my regular schedule, just to make sure I'm not missing out on anything!

PAPER
Have you ever used an online dating site? If so, how'd it go?

Nick:
I've used Tinder a few times. I use it because most of the people I meet are either TV personalities or [people] from the gym or castings. The majority of people I meet in my everyday life are actors, which is a strange relationship, being that I'm trying to get into acting myself. So I have met a few girls who are living different lives, which is cool to me.

PAPER
Do you have a Google Alert for yourself?

Nick:
No. There are a lot of things said on the Internet that I've gotten caught up in, and that has really affected me negatively. People can sit behind their keyboard all day and talk shit about people to make themselves feel better, but it doesn't make it true. Lately I've focused on the people in my life that contribute to my life. So if something is said about me on the Internet, it will most likely go unread.

PAPER
What do you want for Christmas?

Nick:
I'm just hoping I get a chance to go home to Ohio and see my family.Things are shaping up to be extremely busy for me around that time, and I'm not sure I'll be available. It's also tough because my twin younger brothers' birthdays are on the 31st, so missing both would be rough. But we'll see (fingers crossed).
