This upcoming Saturday looks to be one hot day. No, not the weather. It's the unholy convergence of two incredible outdoor events for artists and freaks of all colors, persuasions and gender preferences. I'm talking about the Art Parade, which takes off at 4 p.m. from W. Broadway and Houston in the heart of SoHo with a cavalcade of creative cut-ups led by Major domo Jeffrey Deitch followed by the PAPER-mobile and the cuties from Creative Time, the big three sponsors of this annual event.

The other major outdoor sextravaganza takes place at Tompkins Square Park in the East Village where the Howl Festival is rearing its head again. Here Chi Chi Valente and Johnny Dynell of the Jackie Factory hope to bring back the spirit of Wigstock with "Low Life: a celebration of 150 years of brilliant Bowery performance" starring a who's who of downtown art and burlesque beauties including Dirty Martini, Dean Johnson, Sweetie and Julie Atlas Muz. The fun begins at 5 p.m.
