1. Music collab of the year? Current PAPER cover artists The Ting Tings are working with Jay-Z on their second album. The duo have apparently been signed to his Roc Nation label for North America. 

2. Stop by The Prompt (77 Delancey St.) over the weekend.  This pop-up space or "conceptual social club" is only open from 8 to 11 p.m. through Sunday, November 15. Curated by Sarina Basta and Michael Portnoy as part of Performa 09, it will include "conversation pieces, rules, performances and soundtracks." 

3. Steampunk, guns and guitars.

4. The SCOPE art fair runs in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood from December 2 to 6 and there's a little preview next week (November 18, 8 - 10 p.m.) at 900 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. Multi-media artists "Sweatshoppe" (Bruno Levy and Blake Shaw) will be on hand with films, stop motion cameras and a drum machine that "redefines images in 3D space."

5. LEGO nomenclature.

6. charity:water is hosting a benefit to raise money to produce a short film called Silent Water about water scarcity in India. It's tonight, November 13, at Tribeca Cinema (54 Varick St.) with music by Quest Love, DJ Rekha and DJ Rampage.  Tickets are $25 and doors open at 8 p.m.
