Despite Being a No-Show, Liam Gallagher Threw Fun After-Party at Norwood

The air was thick with British accents last night at Norwood, as revelers waited for Liam Gallagher to show his brooding face at the after-party for his band Beady Eye's performance at Webster Hall. His bandmate, Andy Bell, took to the DJ booth, and DJ Jo Murray also manned the ones and twos. Brits like former Smiths bassist Andy Rourke, and rock 'n' roll photog Mick Rock, milled around, as well as non-British music types like Sky Ferreira (who just released her EP As If! in March) and DJ Mia Moretti (who donned a floral hair wreath). The night was hosted by Gallagher's clothing line, Pretty Green, which he founded and designs, and specializes in '60s Brit-pop styles that are currently available at the LES boutique Any Old Iron. Too bad Gallagher rocked out too hard at the show -- he never made it to his own party. But we, and fellow guests, enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.
