Cut Copy's "Need You Now" Is Our Music Video of the Day

Cut Copy's snythy opener to their new album Zonoscope goes for the Weird Video gold in this Keith Schofield-directed video. The whole thing is pretty goofy and Schofield's sense of humor is all over it (see also his nutty work on Beck and Charlotte Gainsbourg's "Heaven Can Wait" video) as several sports players really take it to the max alongside the band. It's part Wheaties box imagery and part 80's portrait photography (Schofield told Stereogum that last year's "boy with a clarinet" photo meme was an inspiration.) Dump a cooler of Gatorade over your head and get watching. (Via Stereogum)
