Chris Benz's Fashion Week Diary, Part IV: "I Love a Camera Phone Pic of a Shoe Narrative!"

Chris Benz
Throughout the madness and insanity that is New York Fashion Week, one of our favorite young designers, Chris Benz, will be keeping a little diary for us; documenting the castings, the fittings, the styling, the hopefully-minimal-freaking-out-ing... Here, in his fourth installment, the countdown to the runway show begins...

As expected, the past four days have been an absolute BLUR of models, fabric, pins, scissors (admittedly being run with, sometimes) and exhaustion.

The marathon started Thursday, with Fashions Night Out -- I raced over to the Movado store to launch my new collaboration with them.  Color-blocked, smoke-print watches in all the colors of a candy store!  Check out this rogue chihuahua that looks like it was dyed-to-match my print!

The first fashion show of the week I attended was on Friday -- and celebrated the creme de la creme of graduating seniors from my alma mater, Savannah College of Art & Design.  It was great to finally see so many full faces of fashion after being duct taped to the studio for so many weeks!

Check out the photo above of the CB team on-the-go!  I love a camera phone pic of a shoe narrative!

So, today's the big day -- we're wrapping up at the studio, and all the clothes are safely packed and ordered.  Now, on with the show!
