Beautiful Losers & RVCA Mix Skate and Art
By Kim Hastreiter

My OC friends from RVCA have been in and out of town for the past few weeks, and I'm so excited that they are bringing their amazing energy and fun to our coast. Last week Pat Tenore came by for some take out dinner with his friend, artist David Cho. Pat is the visionary co founder of the RVCA brand. He is not only an artist himself, but an art fanatic and enthusiast and a huge supporter who puts his money where his mouth is, sponsoring artists, musicians, filmmakers in the same way other brands sponsor sports figures. He was in town to meet up with Opening Ceremony, as he's producing a line with model and smart left coast skater girl Erin Wasson, and will sell the stuff there -- which is RVCA's first break into "fashion." Tenore just came off of a huge show he curated consisting of Barry McGee colab Cinelli bikes which he sold in his San Francisco shop, along with one of a kind bikes designed by every artist, from KAWS to Phil Frost.

Yigal Azrouel's Guide to the Hamptons
By Alexis Swerdloff

Israeli fashion designer Yigal Azrouel, known for his billowy, ultra-feminine, resort-friendly clothing, has recently expanded his empire, setting up shop in Watermill. His second boutique (Yigal’s flagship store is in the Meatpacking District), located in an 18th-Century carriage house, carries his ready-to-wear pieces along with his diffusion line, his Yigal Azrouel for K-Swiss sneakers and a curated assortment of Yigal-approved knick-knacks: candles, Criterion Collection DVDs, vintage eyewear and jewelry. In honor of his recent move, we asked him to compile for us a few of his favorite Hamptons spots. Take note, and perhaps you’ll be blessed with Yigal sighting –- in addition to being a skilled designer, he is quite a looker!

Fun Fashion in Montauk
By Kim Hastreiter
Montauk is not the salty fishing town it once was. These days, you can see Ralph and Ricky Lauren riding through town in their old pickup truck and Mickey Drexler at the local supermarket picking up supplies. The fashion retail world has not yet invaded the outermost Hampton town yet, but there is one really fun spot that opened Memorial Day weekend for the summer. It's an outpost of our favorite New York vintage shop Screaming Mimi's!!! Check out these photos of their cute beach spot and stop by if you're on the Montauk Highway this summer!
