Fashionably Conscious: The "Pacifist" Puffer
By Luigi Tadini
Last Friday, Franco/Italo outerwear company Moncler held court in South Beach to celebrate their upcoming line with PAPER cover boy Pharrell Williams. The limited edition menswear collection, hitting stores in fall 2010, is part of Moncler V, a sub-line collaboration with Japanese brand Visvim. The musician/producer's line includes an all-black palette and updated versions of the classic Moncler puffer jacket as well as a handful of new conceptual models. Garments are all made with technological fabrics by Bionic Yarn,
a textile company owned by Williams and former PAPER BP Tyson Toussant that makes its fabrics out of
recycled plastic bottles, and features leather details and unique, gold
waterproof zippers. The "Pacifist" puffer bulletproof vest, pictured above, is reversible and lined with images of lush forests in natural sunlight from Japanese artist Keita Sugiura.

let's have your readers win one of these?
cause it's kinda cool,
and my student loan won't cover this at all.
...and its needed, especially for the toronto winters up here.
