Peter Davis' Status Update: Free to Bea You and Me

When will The Beatrice Inn reopen? Since the Department of Buildings padlocked the boite in early April (for over-capacity and building construction violations), celebs like Mary Kate Olsen and Lindsay Lohan have been left without their living-room-like disco playpen. Proprieters Matt Abramcyk and DJ Paul Sevigny hosted a Free The Beatrice party in the penthouse of The Cooper Square Hotel but there is still no date when the real Bea will open is velvet roped doors. I've heard it's re-opening in a week, for weeks. On Saturday, a sign on West 12th Street let people know how the neighborhood feels about the exclusive club. Could The Beatrice Inn be dead for good? Stay tuned.
