About Last Night... The Costume Institute Gala: "The Model As Muse"
By Caroline Torem-Craig

Last night's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, "The Model As Muse," was a little like an unexpected blizzard... First a few snowflakes, large enough so you can see their patterns, then a fine flurry of flakes criss-crossing in front of you, and finally, so many, coming so fast your field of vision is obliterated! Contrary to rumors circulating that Naomi wasn't coming, that Karl was boycotting and that everyone would be cutting back, last night may have been the grandest gala, the most star-studded of all! Highlights of the evening included:
First to arrive, host and hostess Marc Jacobs and the Girl Golden, Kate Moss. The evening really started off with a wham, bam, thank you, ma'am!
Stella McCartney playfully pinching Kate Hudson's ass!
Madonna, with an outrageous, turquoise, bird-like hair-hat, rock 'n' rolling up the stairs!
Leighton Meester, clad in an "OMFG" Louis Vuitton jester's outfit.
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel smooching in public.
Tyra Banks, "feeling like a woman," and looking vaguely like Grace Jones.

By far the best gala in years - a sensational spread...

This is one point of view.
I have heard many others but I like this one better it is generous and positive so many negative comments and cleverly written opinions are based in self serving sarcasm.
The photographs are crisp , and in focus ...but then I am a friend of Caroline's so now she owes me for writing this and that makes me happy.LOL.

I think whoever styled Madonna and Leighton Meester tried to make them look foolish.
