Peter Davis' Status Update: Smart Students Fight For Gay Rights
By Peter Davis

Tomorrow, high school and college students all over the U.S. will be sporting the same T-shirt to classes in a show of unity in the fight for LGBT rights. The well-organized, peaceful protest, "Equality on Campus Day," is sending a message to President Obama to make good on his promise to repeal both the Defense of Marriage Act and the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" military policy. (Next up Mr. President: The right for gays to marry in all 50 states). If you live in Virginia, there is a protest against Prop 8 at 2 p.m. -- meet on Compass Point right outside Shafer Dining Court at the Virginia Commonwealth University. No matter where you live, you can buy a T-shirt here. These tees are cool all year 'round 24/7. My advice -- never take it off. For more info, go to: www.studentsforequality.com.
