Meet PAPERMAG's Biggest Britney Fan
By Alex Catarinella

It's been ten years since Britney Spears rocked the pigtails, nibbled on her pencil and bared her navel and shimmied it up in naughty schoolgirl garb with " Baby, One More Time." I just turned 22, and am still just as fascinated (OK... obsessed) with what we all thought would be no more than a Tiffany, and who by now should be posing for Playboy as a cracked-out has-been or making us cringe/giggle on Celebrity Rehab. But nope. In case you've been living under a rock, Ms. Britney Spears brought the circus to town this week in celebration of the release of what many declare the true comeback album, Circus, released on her 27th birthday. The Britney-fied circus of a week included Brit Brit's GMA performance where she got her "Womanizer" on, a b-day bash at Tenjune and, what sucked everyone in for 90 minutes, MTV's premiere of Britney: For The Record. (My fave moment was Brit giving a shout out to her life inspiration, the Karate Kid).
And apparently, I'm not the only crazy grown-up Brit fanatic. Yesterday, along with about 20 other rabid Brit fans, I filmed Britney's Fan's: For the Record, an MTV special in which we were gathered together to discuss moments from the aforementiond doc. You could have sworn it was '98 in the former TRL (RIP!) studio. The set was Brit-tastic, with larger-than-life images of Brit's most sizzling MTV moments (sans Britney's VMA "Gimme More" shit-show of a performance.) Damien Fahey hosted and got us in a tizzy. Rule 1: Don't ever mention K-Fed to Brit fans I wish my friends had my back like that. It's pretty obvious MTV is pimping Brit's comeback (and I'm not complaining!). All fan comments regarding her hot mess days had to be vague. (Head shaving/crotch exposing topics were off limits.) I kept it positive and talked about Brit as the small-town girl gone big who loves her some Velveeta cheese grits, and mentioned my career goal of becoming her Frap-fetching personal assistant. (My comments regarding Madonna's frozen Botox face was unfortunately cut, although Damien approved.) Brit was invited, but was a no-show but Brit fans always keep the faith. I hear this Circus isn't leaving town just yet
Tonight:
9 p.m. ET/PT, Britney: For the Record
10:30 p.m. ET/PT, Britney's Fans: For the Record
