Hilary Alexander Discusses 2008 Fashion Fringe Winner Go By a Secret Path

So... I couldn't finagle my way into the show -- but at least I could get to Hilary Alexander. The legendary British fashion reporter attended Fashion Fringe's 2008 competition and spoke with me right after the winner -- Go By a Secret Path -- was announced. Eun Jeong Hong, the designer behind the label, beat out three other contestants for the $200,000 prize. Her collection was feminine, flirty and mystical. So did Hilary think this was strong enough to win?

So what did you think?
I thought it was very impressive. I think it's gotten better and better over the years and I completely agree with the judges. I thought the collection Go By A Secret Path was by far the most outstanding.

Why?
Well because it had tailoring and it had a soft frivolous fantasy feel as well. aAnd it was coherent. and the whole collection hung together as a story.

So what do you see in the future for the brand
Hopefully a show at London Fashion Week next season.
