About Last Night... Bird Brooklyn: Fine Wine and New Wares

In honor of both the coming week and the oportunity it offers us to buy new duds, Bird (the Brooklyn boutique that lays total waste to my willpower) threw an intimate gathering at their spot on Fifth Avenue in the Slope. Owner Jennifer Mankins was looking glowy in an irresistable Zero + Maria Cornejo frock, one of several new additions to their roster of devine designers, and she was kind enough to run through all the thrilling newness with me.

Along with adding to their baby-based collections, Bird has begun to carry men's gear. Fashion exes Trovata and Shipley & Halmos are terrific starting points but I understand that Stockholm-based superstars Our Legacy are the ones to really look out for. As mentioned, Maria Cornejo is in store with her genius get-ups and the elegant not-so-new newcomer Megan Park has items just a little way down the rack.

Leaving the shop after ample bubbled bevs and several risky try-ons I had mixed emotions about leaving empty handed. Thankfully, I know where to go next time I want to get myself in a bit of trouble, and for that matter my boyfriend does too.
