Eight Miles High: Sex, Drugs & Rock 'N' Roll!

By Dennis Dermody

Opening at the Cinema Village this week is Eight Miles High, a fascinating look at the wild life of Uschi Obermaier (played with real sex-kitten allure by Natalia Avelon), a German supermodel from the late '60s who lived with a radical group Kommune 1 in Berlin before moving on to rock groupie status with the likes of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Jimi Hendrix. She eventually moved into a wild customized bus with a real character -- Dieter Bockhorn (David Scheller) -- and traveled around the world with him, living a hedonistic, nomadic life. Director Achim Bornhak based this on Obermaier's sensational autobiography, High Times, and the movie's wild, sexy and fun.

I agree! Eight Miles High is awesome! I'm so excited for it to open on July 11th! I found the link where everyone can buy tickets: http://www.readyticket.net/webticket/htmlshowtimes/27/ShowTimes39640.html

She was nothing but a homewrecker. A rabbit with a habit.
