Victoria Bartlett Starts to "Piece Together the Jigsaw Puzzle" of Her Collection

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30
I feel a sense of euphoria because the pieces finally arrived and I can start to piece together the jigsaw puzzle of my collection. I can begin to shuffle the looks together and create a story as I feel pulses of Hans Bellmer and Louise Bourgeois -- both of whom are the inspirations of the Fall/Winter 2008 collection.

THURSDAY, JAN. 31
I met with our jewelry designers today to make sure the accessories are cohesive within the Fall/Winter collection. We have a dreamboat of accessory designers for VPL -- from Shoplifter, to Alyssa Norton, to Brian Crumley, to Josh Hickey.

We also finalized the runway music today. Henry, Ben, the VPL crew, and myself have suggested, listened, and critiqued runway music options for the past month. Henry Lau finished the fine-tuning, editing and mixing today and I’m very happy with the end result.
