Introducing Fashion Week Guest-Blogger Victoria Bartlett: "PANIC DAY!"

Launched in 2003, Victoria Bartlett's underwear-inspired womenswear line VPL is both super-chic and slightly subversive. A 2007 finalist for the Vogue Fashion Fund Award, Bartlett has all the fashion insiders a-buzzin as she prepares for her fall '08 show. When she's not running around like a crazy person preparing for her show (on Feb. 6 at Bumble & Bumble), Vicky (that's what the real insiders call her) will be blogging for us. Without further ado, her first blog!
PANIC DAY! It feels like a whirlwind battling with factories who also battle with themselves because of the time crunch. It’s a physical and emotional struggle of reality -- the show is here. It’s like someone hit the panic button. I spoke with Laird Borrelli from style.com, which was a calming agent in the midst of emotional ruins to help reaffirm my beliefs. She’s great. The invitations are finally out -- this is a big relief. Magnus and Tenzin did a great job on the design! It was a struggle to get everything right, but I am really happy with the invitations, they look beautiful!
