Chelsy Davy Trapped in Kenya

Mr. Mickey has been very upset about the unrest in Kenya these days! Without getting too in depth, MM feels that President Mwai Kibaki is a horrible crook and stole the election from Raila Odinga. Also President Kibaki, in his 70s, already falls asleep in cabinet meetings and should be retiring but is so greedy he can't let go of his piece of government loot!

But let's not get geopolitical here at MMBlog, let's stick with cuteness that we're known for. Amidst the terrible sectarian violence, Prince Harry of Wales' party-loving girlfriend Chelsy Davy is stranded at a game reserve in Mombasa, Kenya. Mr. Mickey loves that Zimbabwean Chelsy spends so much time in her native continent -- college in South Africa, vacationing in Kenya and Botswana -- and it's terrible that she, or anyone, is stranded thanks to this terrible situation.

No flights are allowed in or out of Nairobi from Britain. Let's hope the meeting between Kibaki and Odinga helps bring some calm to this wonderful country. And let's hope this unrest doesn't discourage potential tourists from going to Africa where tourists dollars do so much to help economic development and preservation of wildlife!!!!
