And Then There's Pat McGrath

As my friend Stefan Campbell has reminded me, makeup artist extraordinaire Pat McGrath is one of the most important building blocks in John Galliano's demented looks. I am SUCH a McGrath fan and met her recently at a dinner. She recently did a collection for the huge makeup company MAX Factor and they were making a big deal about it to us (the press), but then when I saw the makeup it was generic and had no reference to McGrath. They really missed the ball on this. I just don't understand why they got the best makeup artist in the world to design a line of makeup, but then didn't give her any credit or promote her on it. Anyway, the good news is that it turns out she's a big PAPER fan. Mutual admiration is always the best!
