1. Several of our fave new bands have been selected by Rolling Stone magazine for their annual list of artists to watch in 2008. PAPER bloggers The Cool Kids, Santogold, Kate Nash and MGMT were all featured in the top ten. We were so impressed that we're going to give a listen to the other six. We also just heard that Nash's album will finally be released in the US this January.

2. Paul Oakenfold will appear at New York club Pacha (618 West 46) on Thanksgiving. The popular British DJ and remixer was embarrassed recently when he showed up for a gig in the student union of the University of Newcastle only to discover that only 52 people had purchased tickets. (via filter27)

3. The second annual "Icons" issue of Shepard Fairey's Swindle magazine includes an article on PAPER founders-editors-publishers Kim Hastreiter and David Hershkovits.

4. Recording artist Leona Lewis just became the biggest selling debut artist in UK history (375,000 copies in one week), beating previous record holder the Arctic Monkeys' 2006 debut.

5. Is American Apparel going to open a "vintage" clothing store in L.A.? (via Team Junk!)

6. To celebrate the grand opening of the New Museum (235 Bowery) next weekend, Target is sponsoring 30 free hours of admission starting at noon Saturday, December 1. Tickets are still required and are available at newmuseum.org.
