Rufus Wainwright Does Judy at Hollywood Bowl

The Rufus Wainwright/Judy Garland extravaganza at the Hollywood Bowl was a star-studded event! (Debbie Reynolds! Reese Witherspoon! former PAPER mag cover girl Dita von Teese!) But no star was more stellar than Rufus himself when he stepped out on stage in full Judy "Get Happy" Drag! The crowd went WILD! (Almost as wild as they did for his magnificent show-stopping, scene-stealing sister Martha Wainwright when she did a guest turn singing "Stormy Weather"!) Who knew Rufus had such great gams?!

Thought you had better taste, Ann. His singing voice is affected and his face is beyond awful. Terrible idea, bad execution and I'm a bigger fan of his mother's songwriting than his. He's the wurst!
