Word of Mouth

JD Ferguson Presents: Michael Lucas

By JD Ferguson

michael lucas

There's no denying Michael Lucas has single-handedly brought the West Coast dominated porn industry back East. This sexy Russian impresario not only runs an entertainment company baring his name but, much to his fans’ pleasure, stars in most of the videos himself. "I respect what he's done for himself and I like people with opinions,” says JD Ferguson of the at-times controversial Lucas. JD intentionally saved Mr. Lucas for last before he goes on his summer vacay. Ladies and gentlemen, we give you the infamous Michael Lucas.

Hometown: Moscow, Russia

Age: 35

Company you shoot for? Lucas Entertainment

What's on your iPod? Everything from Madonna to Amy Winehouse.

How long have you been in the industry? 12 years.

How's Moscow? I haven't been there since 2000, and I'm not really interested to go back. The world is big enough and there are many places I haven't been to that are much more pleasant than homophobic Russia.

Who do you support for president in 2008? Unfortunately, there is no one better than Hilary. Or, I'd rather say, everyone else is just worse. But it doesn't mean I'm a big fan.

If you were elected president tomorrow what would be the first on your agenda? The safety of our country. It might sound like a cliché, but I truly believe that Western Civilization is in danger because of the intolerance of Islam.

What do you see are the problems with America today? The biggest is probably the incompetence of the government -- its lack of knowledge and common sense, and its ignorance towards the rest of the world.

What's in your refrigerator? It's pretty empty. I'm always stuck with 10 bottles of Perrier.

What’s your favorite kind of food? Japanese. I love sushi.

What’s the last good movie you saw? Little Children.

If you could have sex with any celebrity who would it be? I don't fantasize about sex with celebrities.

If you were stuck on a desert island who would you want to be trapped with? With my boyfriend, of course.

Favorite book? I have many, but I believe that Anna Karenina is the best written novel.
Cats or dogs? I like both, but I have a Great Pyrenees and a guinea pig.

What are you working on right now? I'm getting ready for the release of The Intern. It's our big movie of the year and I'm really excited. It's an amazing film, our first comedy.

What's next for Michael Lucas? My autobiography. And more fucking, of course.

The reason Mr. Lucas is "at times controversial" is because he says things like "Western Civilization is in danger because of the intolerance of Islam."

He should relate his opinions about Islam to the country he was born in NOT the country he immigrated to that has afforded him the luxury of his own entertainment company and a fat bank account.

I think Michael Lucas' anti-islamic attitude should be addressed. He's definitely not someone worth holding in high regard. This isn't the first time he's said something completely irresponsible and offensive about Islam.

Also, I'm glad he thinks Anne Karenina is the "best written novel." But what about all those novels that were never written?

I can understand the place of motion from where that comment may have arrised. A Jew brought up in Communist Russia and not only any Russian-Jew but a gay Russian-Jew would have a few things to say about intolerance and I respect thathe tells it how it is for him.

Illustrated by Brendan Lemon quite marvellously As with any group whose history bears deep scars, expressing ourselves culturally ... is not a simple issue of leisure. It's a matter of survival

I love the way he talks about the good the bad and the ugly.
And I love even more the people's reaction front of his words.
Good or bad, hate him or love him, something is neat: he knows exactly what to say to make you answer him.
For this and that, he is memorable.
My congratulations mr. Lucas.
